This might just be the most important seed I've seen this year on the vine. Thank you very much for getting this out. Clipping to every imaginable group I can think of as relevant! (Including the Christian groups - remember, what you do to the least of my brothers, you do unto Me. What are we doing, letting these evil people carry on like this??) (Including the Ag groups - they're victims of this manipulation, also!) (Including the media groups - WHERE is the coverage needed for these roaches?)

Thank you, ffeineandsugar!! Through tears I write this.

http://www.infowars.com/world-food-prices-hit-record-high/

Last week I wrote a story about this issue. As a small family fisherwoman, we are facing the same assault the family farmers & ranchers saw & still see. We are food producers yet, they wish us gone.

There are a lot of great links on that article about new faces of hunger in America.

On July 21, 2010, President Obama signed a Wall Street reform bill that would close many of the regulatory loopholes allowing big financial institutions to play in agriculture commodity futures markets, but Kaufman says the bill's solutions are not likely to work. Wall Street innovators can devise new ways to speculate that easily dance around cumbersome, slow-to-pass legislation.

Thank you for the outstanding seed, Mary Beth.

This is such an important issue, that few people understand. In a nutshell, big business is playing with our food, and every food fight results in higher prices and less edible food for those who need it.

There's a reason our mamas taught us not to play with our food!

While bad weather in various parts of the world is an element of the accelerating food prices, there are two other factors directly related to the United States and its policies.

Sometimes I think the weather is just another game piece or strategy. I've been seeing lots of articles on experiments (past and present) involving cloud seeding and various experiments to impact weather.

I read the article , then read every link in the comments section .
Is there anything that can be done , besides Pray ?

I've been drawn to read more in the business section . Long before they told us , we're in a recession .
Oh , and it started a year ago . Now for about a year now . They've been telling us " We're out of the recession " Where can the truth be found ?
Are they going to take other parts of the world into a depression first ? Then they can blame the other nations .

Ron, Thanks for caring:) I don't think people realize how vulnerable our country is too. Our dollar is only paper-very scary. Mass media paints a rosy picture but the only ones prospering is the ceo's, Wall St & banksters.

Solutions are obtainable but lobbying blocks efforts. We cannot let up on the politicians!! Unfortunately, there is too much diversion & our priorities get muddled. Stay tuned though more & more are awakening. I think Ron, you're ahead of the curve, but turn around & you'll see others lining up.

Here's a couple videos-one funny, one not -both worthwhile!! http://dprogram.net/2011/02/06/general-mills-mind-games-comedy-skit-about-total-blueberry-pomegranate-cereal/

It's time to go to work . I enjoyed both videos . Got to go .

Check out the GMO watch group - that one may have been seeded some time ago there - I forget when, if it was, but that's where a lot of anti-Monsanto stuff shows up. Or even better - follow Pamela Drew here on the vine - she is one of the best people at keeping us aware of the insanity that Monsatan (get thee behind me!) would foist on us. Keep up the great work!

Mary Beth
The link you posted in comment #8.1 , is very , very disturbing . It touches my life in a number of ways .

The first way :
As you might know , I'm a truck driver . I've been driving trucks for 32 plus years now .
At the beginning of this video , there is a story line of the Monsanto plant in Anniston , Alabama .
First off , the picture of the Monsanto plant there . I've hauled at lest one load off the docks from that plant and another load from a warehouse not far from there . I remember those two loads and think there was a third , I'm not sure . This was back in 1979 and 1980 . The first went to New Orleans ,La , the second went to Eagle Pass ,Tx . That one isn't easy to forget . I had an airplane to fly over my truck , with an altitude of about 25 feet . At about 2:30 AM . I was very near the Mexican border . Do you think they were just testing out their flying skills ?
I was told this poison was very dangerous . I was given a 1-800 number . If I had any spill . I was to call. If it spilled on the floor of the trailer ,the floor would have to be replaced . If there was a spill on the ground . It would have to be dug up and replaced . The poison was out-law-ed in the U.S.A. . It was for export only .

The second way:
In the video , it told how Monsanto had contaminated the land around the Anniston plant . They were interviewing people in the black community , where so many had died . My wife and her family grew up in the shadows of where that was filmed . My brother and sister-in-law were tested and got some of the money Monsanto gave out . My wife just didn't follow through , with being tested .

The third way :
I have a close friend , who helped mix and load poisons on a crop duster when he was young .
Then he would run from point to point in the fields holding up a red flag , showing where the fields needed to be sprayed next .
In the video . They were telling about a small boy who got some of the poison on him . It showed where his skin was bleached out and he was sick . My friend Randy has a big spot just like that on his back and side , and he doesn't sweat in that area of his body .

The last couple of years , I've been reading articles about Monsanto's seed's and the number of different crops they have engineered these seed into . The video shows where they have slowly covered the earth with their seed .

I wonder if you followed the trail back , you would find that Monsanto had a hand in the dispersant's that were place in the Gulf during the oil spill ? While they kill everything on land . Is this the way they'll kill everything in the oceans ?

Ron, So sorry this touched you in such a personal way. I was also deeply disturbed & not affected like you, your family & friends. I do have my own issues with these poisons, though. Living in rural Maine, we're constantly bombarded with chemicals & pesticides for the wild Maine blueberries. For years & years, they applied them by plane or helicopter. As you can imagine, cancer, asthma, fibramangalia, etc run rampant up there. It is so ridiculous, they tout the health benefits of antioxidants of blueberries. Meanwhile the bugs & worms are smarter than we are because they won't eat the poisoned fruit, yet we do. All the while Bush started a war over chemical arms of mass destruction. This is/was happening in his vacationland, Maine. It was like living in a warzone for me when I heard the helicopters coming-grab the llaundry, dogs & kid & run for shelter.

I'm more worried about the millions or billions Monsanto are going to kill or shorten their live span .
My wife got a chance to work last night . But I'll get her to watch that video . She'll tell my how close they lived to the neighborhood shown in the video .

To give you something else to think about . They closed down the Army Base just outside
Anniston , Al.
Then they built an incinerator . To burn up our stock pile of nerve gas , and old rockets .

Come on down , we'll give you a gas mask , a home alarm, and a map of the evacuation route .

Sounds like life in Machias is still not as advertised. Makes me glad I grew up in Waterville, away from the dusting. Yikes!

Ron - could you post 8.4 as a separate column? I'd like to have more people hear the story you just told. It's that important. Thanks!

I would be very pleased if Mary Beth would post her link in comment #8.1 as a new story .
I would be honored if she posted my comment #8.4 , to go along with this story .
The world needs to be reading and watching what Monsanto is doing to our world . What I had to say is but a small part of this picture . The sad part here . Very few people are going to sit and watch a video for 1 3/4 hours . I hope you watched it and understood my relationship to the story line .

I have time bandits around me most of the time . The credit for this story needs to go to Mary Beth . I hope she reads this and builds a story out of it .
The time bandits don't give me enough time to do this . I'm a week behind on checking my E-mail .
Thank you for asking me to post this as my story . I pray Mary Beth does post it .

Thanks for the compliment ffeineandsugar;you are a sweetie pie and with some feine added, perfect.

I still track the politics, legislation, science and spin of Biotech and Monsanto like the CIA does terrorists, but most of my updating is with twitter helping a few people to connect with the best, trusted sources reporting around the globe.

To some degree the news updates are the same %$#@ on a different bun. In summary, Monsanto's fee based, novel feed is spreading with jack boot diplomacy, funded with American tax dollars and pimped by corporate media's small circle of talking heads.

Change the date and it is the genetically engineered news of a decade.

The most amazing part of that picture is that to this day American media and Congress act like there's nothing to talk about with respect to genetically engineering the food supply and usurping individual rights to know or say no. It still steams me up enough to be tempted to rant about how shut up and swallow doesn't feel like freedom.

Meanwhile Monsanto squeaks by on the bulk of the farm subsidies, USAID donations, Land Grant University research and a bonus. Those Roundup Ready, money maker seeds even thrive where the Monsanto chemicals are sprayed in War on Drugs

How lucky can one corporate welfare recipient get and still go unmentioned in the National debate over cutting waste from the National Budget?

Fortunately the ultimate power rests with us as consumers and the power of informed shoppers has exploded along with Local markets and greener thinking.

Every dollar is a vote and one by one, day by day we'll take back our food and hold our own power!! Go us, go local and thanks so very much to all of you for tempting into this wonderful thread :~)

Thanks, Pamela!!

The Patriot Act extension failed for now.

I haven't learned the twitter thing yet.

I do plan on writing something-poisoning our air, food & water. Many of the so called green groups are paid off. What about all these mass bird, fish, etc die-offs? As a fisherwoman, it is very disturbing this spin on truth.

Have a great day,

I haven't learned the twitter thing yet.

I do plan on writing something-poisoning our air, food & water. Many of the so called green groups are paid off.

If it's easy enough for me to do anyone can join and twitter is that easy, the challenge is using few words to say what you want to communicate!

It's fabulous that you're delving into the environmental issues and feel free to ask if there's a research link you're looking for. Scorecard is the global authority on chemicals and they have phenomenal data about toxic waste so check out their tools for pollution by area starting here. http://scorecard.goodguide.com/

To me the problems with many of the "green" groups isn't so much that they're bought off, but corporate astroturf PR efforts from the start who have been legitimized by MSM citing them as environmentalists.

What about all these mass bird, fish, etc die-offs? As a fisherwoman, it is very disturbing this spin on truth.

The current rash of die-offs isn't something I've had time to dig into, but it is scary and sad that we don't have the confidence of knowing our regulatory agencies have the will and resources to uncover the truth. A few years ago there was a mass dropping of birds at U of Texas that to my view was tied to GMO virus experiments and poor lab containment, but I've no details about this one.

Maybe it's simply a reflection of decades of toxic policy slapping us in the face as individuals so we understand that the health of our planet is a today problem that all of us need to be actively working to fix. Kudos to you and everyone else trying; have a great day too! pd :~)
